Generative AI Engineer

Lightray Technologies is an early-stage startup on a mission to revolutionise financial research with the help of Large Language Models. We are seeking a talented Generative AI Engineer to play a crucial role in developing and deploying cutting-edge AI solutions. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Python, experience working with LLMs and familiarity with Docker in Linux environments. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to ground breaking work in the field of AI-driven financial research.

Responsibilities

- Fine-tune LLMs using state-of-the-art techniques to adapt existing frameworks to optimise performance for financial research tasks

- Maintain the infrastructure for model deployment, ensuring seamless integration

- Create and optimise agent workflows to streamline the interaction between LLMs and other system components

- Conduct thorough benchmarking and performance analysis to identify areas for improvement

- Create datasets using open-source frameworks, ensuring high-quality data for training LLMs

- Optimise resource utilisation to ensure efficient and cost-effective operation of our AI infrastructure

- Implement retrieval-augmented generation to enhance the model's accuracy and reliability

- Integrate AI solutions into our overall platform

Requirements

- Strong proficiency in Python programming

- Experience working with LLMs and their applications

- Familiarity with Docker and Linux environments

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced start-up environment

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts

Desirable Qualifications and Skills

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science or a related field

- Prior experience in developing and deploying AI solutions in a production environment

- Familiarity with financial research and its unique challenges

- Contributions to open-source projects or research publications in the field of AI

- Knowledge of machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch

- Understanding of natural language processing techniques and their applications in financial research
